Calving Mitra ("the App") is a free dairy farming utility application designed to help Indian dairy farmers calculate important cattle breeding milestones including calving dates, return-to-heat dates, and weaning dates for cows and buffaloes.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the App does and does not collect, and how it operates with respect to your privacy.
Calving Mitra collects no personal information from its users. The App does not:
The App saves the following information locally on your device only using Android's DataStore (a lightweight local storage mechanism). This data never leaves your device:
| Data Item | Purpose | Stored Where |
|---|---|---|
| Selected language (Hindi / English) | Remember your language preference | Device local storage only |
| Selected animal type (Cow / Buffalo) | Remember your last selection | Device local storage only |
| Last breeding date entered | Restore your last calculation on reopen | Device local storage only |
| Calculated result dates | Restore your last calculation on reopen | Device local storage only |
This data is stored solely to improve your experience by restoring your last session when you reopen the App. You can clear this data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing the App's data via Android Settings.
Calving Mitra requests no permissions from your device. Specifically:
The App functions entirely offline. No internet connection is required at any time.
The App includes an optional "Share via WhatsApp" feature. When you tap this button, the App uses Android's standard share Intent to pass a text message to WhatsApp or any other app you choose. Calving Mitra does not transmit this information to any server — the sharing happens entirely between your device and the app you choose to share with (e.g. WhatsApp). We do not have access to anything you share.
Calving Mitra is a utility app intended for adult dairy farmers. The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since the App collects no data from any user, there is no risk of children's data being collected.
Calving Mitra does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or social media platforms. There are no third parties that receive any data through this App.
Since Calving Mitra does not collect or transmit any data, there is no data in transit to secure. All locally stored preferences remain on your device and are protected by Android's standard application sandboxing.
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Since the App collects no data, any future changes are unlikely to affect your privacy in any way. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
